Sam and Merry had a whale of a time this evening playing with a ping pong ball. Merry is a whiz with it. Watching him bat it about is like watching a pin ball game, only faster. Sam, on the other hand, stalks it ... and always always manages to bat it into a corner or under a bookcase or somewhere equally unreachable.
Merry and Sam have such different personalities.
Sam is a little bundle of energy; adventurous and brave, albeit a little jumpy. There's also a really soppy side to Sam. He loves it when he gets attention. Oh, and he dotes on Merry. Merry on the other hand is less jumpy but less adventurous too. He likes to watch proceedings rather than participate ... and boy is he obsessed with food. Merry talks to himself, particularly if he's in a grump, which often happens when we ignore his pleas for food. It sounds like he's grumbling which is really funny. Merry gets a little frustrated with all the attention he gets from Sam. And I don't blame him to be honest. I'd get p****d off too if Sam put his bottom in my face as much as he puts it in Merry's.
I can't believe there's been so much change in 'the kids' in such a short space of time.
