Poorly Merry

Poor Merry is off his food again. This morning he hardly showed any interest in his Felix. Bearing in mind he's usually the one doing an Oliver on us twenty minutes after eating his dinner.

Last night a delightful smell of cat pooh wafted through the house. Usually we leave it an hour or two to 'solidify' before removing the offending article ... but this was simply too horrid to ignore.

Upon entering the conservatory I discovered why. Our precious little Mezza hadn't even made it to the litter tray before spraying nasty, watery diarrhoea up the door and across the floor. It was, without a doubt, one of those rare rubber-glove and face-mask jobs.

Now I'm worried. Why does Merry have such a poorly tummy? Is it because he insists on eating weeds in the garden, or has he been eating things he shouldn't in the house? Two of Sam's plush carrots have now disappeared without a trace. What if they're blocking up Merry's intestines??

Thank the Lawd we've booked them in at the vets to have their claws trimmed on Saturday. I feel a bit of a question and answer session coming on ...

Donating to the RSPCA is really easy. Simply send a cheque made out to RSPCA to: RSPCA Ashford Garden Cattery, 34 Station Road, Ashford, Kent, TN23 1PH.
