I've been wracking my brains for a way to enable Sam and Merry to see over the garden fence. Up until now they'd have to climb onto the fence or the shed, neither of which they're allowed to do. And I do feel sorry for them being only a foot tall. Then I discovered the magnificent Catplay Station aka Twin Towers on the Internet (see earlier post) and a light switched on in my head. The result? My very own cat watch tower. It cost me £30 in materials and took me less than an hour to construct. And the cats seem to love it. It means they can see over the fence in all directions, and there's no chance of them using it as an escape route. Hurray. (P.S. It's cemented into the ground so it's entirely stable).
